The Watcher

Welcome to 2018!

On one of my last birding trips of 2017 I was waiting to start a walk, when I noticed this head sticking out of the long grass by the edge of the carpark.  A bird, watching a bird watcher.  On a point of completeness, it's a White-faced Heron.

Keeping an eye out for fireworks perhaps?! It's a beauty Stewart and a great shot to mark the end of one year and the entry into another. Wishing you and yours the very best for 2018. YAM xx

What's 2018 like? We've still got a few hours to go before it arrives here.

Perhaps they watch us more than we think, more than we watch them in fact.
